CVCA Management Series - MOFCOM Anti-trust Review

CVCA conducted a training course titled MOFCOM Anti-trust Review on August 15 in Shanghai.The course attracted over 30 CVCA members and professionals from non-member companies.

 

Joyce Li, partner of Han Kun Law Office, briefed the overview of anti-trust notification practice in China to the attendees. She introduced the thresholds that trigger anti-trust notification, procedures and timeline for MOFCOM anti-trust review, anti-trust review results, and the punishment from MOFCOM towards failure to notify a notification concentratoin. Joyce answered several frequently asked questions when deciding if a notification is triggered in a fund-invested transaction, including when to constitute a "Control" pursuant to the thresholds under the anti-monopoly law and how to calculate the turnover of a fund when deciding whether the thresholds are triggered.

CVCA China Venture Capital and Private Equity Management Course 2013

CVCA conducted the annual China Venture Capital and Private Equity Management Course in Beijing on August 27 and 28. Almost 50 CVCA members and professionals from non-member companies attended the four-module training.

 

CVCA invited the Managing Partner of DT Capital Roman SHAW, Managing Director of Legend Capital Jianqing WANG, Executive Director of CDH Lei LI, Partner of Han Kun Law James WANG, Counsel of O'Melveny & Myers LLP Xuan ZHANG, Partners of Ernst & Young Joyce DAI and Alex ZHU, Partner of Latham & Watkins Karen YAN, Partner of Shearman & Sterling Lorna CHEN, Counsel of Shearman & Sterling Fang XUE, Partner of Jun He Law Xingping MI, Partners of PwC Rock LIU and Kevin NG as the speakers of the course. Speakers shared their extensive practical experience with numerous first-hand cases on fund formation and operation, fundraising process, deal selection and due dilligence, financial forecasting and valuation, typical term sheet and analysis, legal documents, enterprise integration and value-added services, exit mathods, domestic market listing and overseas IPO, etc, with the attendees.

John Zhao attended Seminar on Social Security Fund Investment Management


Dai Xianglong's collected works on social security fund investment was released recently. The release conference as well as the NSSF investment management seminar was hosted in Beijing on 28 August. John Zhao, CVCA Chairman and Hony CEO, attended the seminar and extended his congratulations to Mr. Dai.



Seminar on Development and Opportunities of Equity Investment Industry in Shenzhen

CVCA and Shenzhen Investment Promotion Agency co-hosted a seminar titled "Development and Opportunities of Equity Investment Industry in Shenzhen " in Beijing on 15 August. Several CVCA member companies include Hony Capital, CITIC Capital, Legend Capital, Primavera Capital, CDH attended the seminar and discussed the subject with Shenzhen government agencies.
