Feature Event NEEQ Seminar - 10 Apirl 2014, Beijing CVCA co-hosted a seminar with NEEQ (National Equities Exchange and Quotations) on April 10 in Beijing. Several professionals from CVCA member companies including WarburgPincus Capital, TPG, IDG Capital, Legend Capital Goldstone, Tuspark Ventures, Shenzhen Fortune Venture Capital, Shenzhen Capital Group, DT Capital, Qiming Ventures, Goldstone Capital, CBC, and CMK Capital joined the seminar and communicated with NEEQ. Event Highlights CVCA Academy Management Series - China VC PE Management Course 2014 CVCA held the annual China Venture Capital and Private Equity Management Course in Shenzhen for the first time on April 16 and 17, 2014. Around 60 CVCA members and professionals from non-member companies attended the four-module training. CVCA Presents "Strategies and Trends of Public Companies Investing in VC/PE Funds" Launch Event and Seminar Strategies and Trends of Public Companies Investing in VC/PE Funds was released in Shenzhen on April 18, 2014. This report is the result of a research conducted by CVCA and Shenzhen Stock Exchange Research Institution. New Publication Strategies and Trends of Public Companies Investing in VC/PE Funds 2013-2014 ● Snapshot of VC/PE Investments of Public Companies -Company Perspective -Fund Perspective ● VC/PE Investment Strategies of Public Companies -Purpose of Investment -Investment Models ● The Trend of Public Companies' VC/PE Investment -Trend -Risk and Challenges ● Recommendations Policy Update Measures on cross-border investment facilitation released by NDRC will benefit PE funds in two ways On April 10, 2014, National Development and Reform Commission of China (NDRC) officially released Administrative Measures on the Review and Approval and Filing of Overseas Investment Projects (hereinafter referred to as “the Measures”), which will come into force on May 8, 2014. The Measures clearly defines the “overseas investment methods” and “overseas investment projects” by different legal entities registered in the Chinese mainland. Compared with previous regulations, the Measures have greatly streamlined the regulatory, review and approval procedures of cross-border investments. As one of the most significant policies introduced this year on overseas investment, the Measures signify the government’s intention to encourage and promote cross-border investment.
