On June, 29 2010, SAFE published a notice to optimize and decentralize its approval on certain capital account management of foreign exchange, which takes effective on July 1 2010.

Mainland's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS) and Taiwan's Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) signed the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) in Chongqing on June, 29 2010. Under the agreement, the two sides agreed to "gradually reduce and remove trade and investment barriers and create a fair environment". ECFA will promote Cross-Strait investments from manufacturing industries to the high value-added service industries. The VC/PE firms from Chinese mainland and Taiwan will find more opportunities on cross-strait investment and cooperation. 

The introduction of Laws and Regulations of VC/PE funds in China 2010

With China’s reform and opening up, its entry into WTO and the improvement of legal environment, policies and legislation on VC/PE has been developed from scratch. A basic legal framework has been established, which has laid a legal foundation for the growth of VC/PE in China. China Venture Capital Association has always been committed to promoting and improving the legislation of VC/PE funds so as to create a sound and sustainable development environment for VC/PE sector. Based on thorough study on China’s policies, laws and regulations on VC/PE, CVCA has compiled this collection. We intend to help the readers grasp the current policies, laws and regulations of VC/PE in China and provide convenience for the readers in searching and learning the current policies, laws and regulations of VC/PE in China.
