The Exit Via M&A in Depressed IPO Market

16:00pm – 18:00 pm, Thursday, January 15, 2009

Meeting Room, Mansion Hotel, No.82, Xin Le Road, Shanghai

Language: Mandarin

China Venture Capital Association (CVCA) is honored to present its Governors Sharing Series, which will include eleven CVCA governors, who are leaders and veterans in the industry, sharing their experience in investment in the Greater China Region. Face to face dialogue with them will be greatly rewarding.

Mr. Roman Shaw is a founding partner of DT Capital Partners. As the former founding CEO of DragonTech Ventures, one of the earliest China-focused venture capital firms, Roman served as investor and director of SunTech Power, Harbour Networks, and ChinPay. He was elected as one of the "Top 10 Most Active Venture Capitalists" and named to the Forbes China Midas List.

In the shadow of the financial crisis, the world's liquidity has slowed down. VC / PE funds are cutting their investments and looking for exits. However, the ongoing fall of the major overseas stock indexes is narrowing channels for IPO's. A large number of domestic VC / PE's cannot exit via IPO's and they are seeking other alternatives, such as M&A -- one of the most important exit paths. Mr. Shaw will share with you his view on how to exit via M&A in a depressed market.
