With the gradual recovery of global financial environment and rapid growth of Chinese economy, China's enterprises speed up its expansion strategy. Pushing by the domestic industrial restructuring and favorable policy trends, the M&A market in China is quite lively. Some reports show that China became the most active region since this year. In PE industry, M&A is always the very important exit method. This seminar will discuss about Employing M&A as Value Enhancing Strategy and Maximizing Exit Returns.


CVCA is honored to invite Mr. Bao, the Founder and CEO of China Renaissance and Mr Krzysztof Werkun, Partner of China Renaissance to share their experience and insight on China's M&A practice and the common dilemmas and trade offs we face as investors, and induce a discussion on better decision making.


Mr. Bao advised numerous leading international companies, including Bell Canada, Novartis, RPR, Investor AB, NTT, Kepco and KT, on their equity and debt financings, M&A and restructurings. As an investment banker, Mr. Bao assisted his clients with over $7 billion capital markets and $60 billion M&A transactions worldwide.


Mr. Werkun has worked for over 10 years with leading Wall Street investment banks Lazard Freres, Credit Suisse and Deutsche Morgan Grenfell. Mr Werkun has been involved in various financing and M&A assignments for leading companies in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, USA and Europe and has advised over $90 billion in completed M&A and private placement transactions, with clients including CITIC, China Netcom, Benpres group, American Telecasting, and etc.
