CVCA Academy held "Financial Due Diligence and Valuation" training course in Beijing on July 5th, 2012. The seminar attracted around 70 CVCA members and professionals from non-member firms.
It is the fourth training program/seminar CVCA has provided to its members since the beginning of 2012, following the LPA seminar in HK on April 26, the Taxation Policy on RMB Fund seminar in Beijing on June 5, and the Cross-Boarder Investment Policy Review in Dalian on June 8.
In Private Equity and Venture Capital practice, due diligence and valuation are highly important to investors in different aspects, e.g. evaluating return and risk, estimating project value, financial modeling and etc.
During due diligence section, David Xu, managing partner of KPMG, northern China Transaction and Restructuring department, shared his extensive experience in due diligence area. David explained technical knowledge with first-hand cases, making complicated issues simple to understand. Winston Khoo, partner of Deloitte Beijing Valuation team and Lilian Wang, manager of Deloitte Beijing team, elaborated the key points and methods of project valuation and answered questions from trainees.
